A Day in History

Today, February 4th, Rosa Parks was born in 1913. Rosa Parks, one of the leading faces during the Civil Rights Movement was born on this very day. She is known for her boldness in the Montgomery Bus Boycott on December 1, 1955. She decided that she was not going to give up her seat on the bus to make room for a white passenger. After she defied the bus driver, Mrs. Parks became an international icon for resistance against racial segregation.
