A Day in History....

It's been a while since I wrote a blog...(Forive me...been really busy). But if you don't know Feb. 1st is the beginning to African American month. So for everyday of February, I'm going to an African American fact in history for that day. Here it goes!!!

On this day of history, Langston Hughes ( poet, author, columnist, social activist and much more) was born on Feb. 1, 1902 in Joplin, Missouri. Hughes was a large icon in the Harlem Renaissance in history before passing away May 22, 1967 at the age of 65. Also, Hughes was a graduate of Lincoln University (HBCU) in Jefferson City, Missouri. That's today's black history fact.
